Anybus Gateways

With several type of gateways supporting 350+ different protocol conversions it can be challenging to find the best suitable gateway for your project.

When to select Anybus Communicator or X-Gateway or Linking Device,.....?

Here is a short description of the model series.

Anybus Communicator – A protocol converter that connects non-networked industrial devices (using serial, Modbus RTU, or CAN-based protocols) to industrial Ethernet or fieldbus networks. Ideal when you have a legacy machine or sensor that needs to be integrated into a modern network without making any changes to the existing device.

Some of the Anybus ABC3000 og ABC4000 Communicator models supports network to network (Ethernet) communication.
See here for more information about ABC3000 and 4000 series

Anybus X-gateway – A gateway for connecting two different industrial networks (fieldbus-to-fieldbus or fieldbus-to-Ethernet, or Ethernet-to-Ethernet). Designed to enable communication between two PLC systems or production cells using different protocols, without modifying existing control programs.

HMS Linking Devices - Designed for Rockwell Automation ControlLogix and CompactLogix. With an EtherNet/IP Linking Device from HMS, you can access PROFIBUS, Modbus-TCP and serial protocol configuration through your existing Studio 5000 software. The Linking Devices support ODVA’s Device Level Ring (DLR) for ring topology.

Anybus .NET Bridge - Acts as a translator between a function block in a PLC and a .NET object in a computer. The Anybus .NET Bridge enables factory-floor data from PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP or EtherCAT to be presented to .NET applications.

The new and enhanced gateway selector from Anybus ensure you find the correct Gateway.
