Anybus Tunnel Gateway
The Anybus Tunnel Gateway establishes a direct connection between industrial control systems and devices to a 5G core network. It serves as a bridge, linking Industrial Ethernet networks, including EtherNet/IP and PROFINET, over 5G to the Anybus Wireless Bolt 5G.

To ensure PROFINET and certain EtherNet/IP functions (like device discovery and LLDP) operate on a 5G network, it’s necessary to bridge low-level (layer 2) communication across the 5G network (layer 3). This is accomplished using an industrial ethernet tunnel.
